VICE is an all-woman vocal collective with an emphasis on contemporary pop a cappella music.  They’ve been performing together since 2019. Featuring women trained across many different musical traditions, VICE takes pride in fostering a community in which the a cappella community’s most dynamic women vocalists can experiment, collaborate, and create joyful music together.  Most VICE performances feature five collective members – an agile upper trio, and a world-class rhythm section of a bass and vocal percussionist, working together to develop innovative arrangements of familiar songs.

They competed in the Varsity Vocals Open in both 2019 and 2021, taking 2nd and 3rd place respectively, as well as the award for Outstanding Vocal Percussion, at the Northeast Semifinal in New York.  Their singles “Rhiannon” and “Hey There Delilah,” produced entirely in-house, reached streaming audiences in 2020.  VICE brings its electrifying stage show to a cappella festivals and private events across the US, as well as teaches educational workshops, but the group feels most at home performing at venues large and small in their beloved New York City.
