Megan Jakel
Megan Jakel is a seasoned nonprofit professional with a background in arts and education. She currently serves as Director of Major Gifts & Individual Giving at the Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation, focusing on major donor cultivation and comprehensive individual giving strategies. Previously, she was Deputy Director of Leadership Giving at Baruch College, focusing on major, planned, and corporate giving, as well as board development. She also held roles in patron engagement and planned giving at the Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation and at The Shed. Before transitioning to development, Megan was a principal dancer for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, where she served as union delegate and negotiation committee member with the American Guild of Musical Artists, teacher, and rehearsal director. She serves as a mentor through the Baruch College Executives on Campus program and holds a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Administration from Baruch College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Fordham University.
