A Musical Journey Around the World Without Leaving Your School
PreK-12
Bring the world into your school through music, culture, and joyful connections. Celebrate! Music is a live, interactive concert and workshop experience that introduces students to the rich musical traditions of diverse cultures right in their own school. Through interactive performances led by world-renowned artists, students engage in cross-cultural dialogue, and gain insight into the traditions and languages behind the sounds.
Program Overview
Global Sounds. Local Impact.
Celebrate! Music brings Grammy-winning artists, cultural ambassadors, and master performers directly into the classroom, offering students meaningful exposure to artistic excellence. Participants gain firsthand access to world-class musicians and ensembles celebrated on international stages. These engaging performances model both artistic mastery and cultural pride, inspiring students to dream bigger, listen more deeply, and see themselves as part of a broader, connected world.
Celebrate! Music has a culturally responsive, curriculum-connected program that uses music as a universal language to:
Spark curiosity about the world around us
Foster connection and community among students
Explore musical genres and traditions
Students will benefit from:
Cultural exploration: Through live musical encounters rooted in global traditions, students gain understanding and respect for diverse cultures, fostering curiosity, compassion, and a sense of global citizenship.
Social-emotional growth: Celebrate! Music concerts are joyful, communal experiences that spark reflection and connection. Students build confidence, pride, and a stronger sense of belonging as they participate in shared musical expression.
Active engagement & participation: Students don’t just watch and attend the concert; they clap, move, respond, and make music with the artists. From artist-led prompts to spontaneous audience interaction, participation is built into the performance.
Arts integration & music literacy: Concerts reinforce musical concepts like rhythm, melody, and form while introducing diverse instruments, genres, and storytelling traditions. These experiences support classroom learning and align with NYS/NYC arts standards.
Your school will benefit from:

Voices From School Partners
“We have had a wonderful partnership with Midori and Friends and we look forward to working together in the future allowing our students to experience the enriching opportunities offered by the teaching artists. Each year, we have collaborated with and worked alongside the teaching artists who are talented, respectful, delightful, hardworking, and supportive. Thank you for being organized, always in communication with our staff and on behalf of our students and families, thank you so much for the great experiences.”
PS 127K Principal Agatha Alicandro
“ARKAI just finished up their concert with our afterschool students, and it was AWESOME! The students (and teachers) loved every minute of the performance! Jonathan and Phillip are amazing musicians and interact so well with the students. We would love, love, love to figure out a way to bring them back during the school day so all of the students of PS 748 can share in this musical experience.”
PS 748K Teacher Laura Stone
