School Programs

Our sequential programs invite students to discover music traditions from cultures around the world and express themselves creatively. Each program is tailor made in partnership with school leadership to meet students’ artistic needs at your school.  

Midori & Friends integrates New York State standards for music education, as well as the benchmarks and goals of the New York City Department of Education’s Blueprint for Teaching and Learning in the Arts.

Play to Learn brings high quality instrumental instruction to students in grades K-12 in historically underserved neighborhoods.

The Kazuko Hojo Classical Series brings world-class classical ensembles to school music rooms, creating up-close connections between students and professional musicians.

Celebrate! Music expands the musical horizons of students in grades
PreK-12 by introducing them to different cultures and music genres through live performances and classroom workshops.

The Laraine Fischer NEXTGen Fellowship is a two-year paid apprenticeship open to freshmen, sophomores, and juniors attending New York City public or charter high schools who have a passion for music.

The Passport Series brings the world's cultural and traditional arts into schools through immersive, hands-on workshops.
