Alan A. Fischer is the founder, Co-Portfolio Manager and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Mr. Fischer’s responsibilities include portfolio management and guiding the business strategy of the firm. Mr. Fischer is a leading spokesman for the finance industry and has served in the merchant banking and finance industry for more than 40 years. Mr. Fischer holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and English from the University College of Arts & Sciences of New York University and is also a recipient of an honorary doctorate from the Weizmann Institute of Science. Mr. Fischer’s philanthropic and civic activities include serving as Chairman Emeritus of the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science, member of the Executive Board of the Weizmann Institute of Science, Chairman Emeritus of Midori & Friends, member of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and the Chairman’s Council of the American Ballet Theatre. He is the Past President of the JCC of Mid-Westchester and Past Chairman of the Banking Division of the UJA Federation.
