Donating appreciated stocks or securities is a tax-efficient way to support Midori & Friends. Please contact our team before initiating a transfer, as donor names are not listed.
Donor Advised Funds (DAF)
To make a contribution from your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), select Midori Foundation, Inc. as the recipient organization. Our IRS EIN is 13-3682472. Please note that under IRS regulations, a gift made through a donor-advised fund is not tax-deductible (the deduction was already taken when the fund was established.)
A planned gift to Midori & Friends is a meaningful way to ensure that music education continues to transform the lives of NYC students for generations to come. By including Midori & Friends in your estate plans, you help secure the future of our programs while often providing valuable tax benefits to you and your family.
Ways to make a planned gift include:
Bequests: Name Midori & Friends as a beneficiary in your will or living trust, either a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after other bequests are fulfilled.
Retirement Plan Assets: Designate Midori & Friends as a full or partial beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), or other retirement account, which can be a tax-efficient way to give since these assets are often heavily taxed when left to individual heirs.
Life Insurance: Name Midori & Friends as a beneficiary of an existing or new life insurance policy.
Charitable Gift Annuities and Trusts: Establish a charitable remainder trust or gift annuity that provides income to you or your loved ones during your lifetime, with the remainder supporting Midori & Friends' programs.
