Play to Learn
Play to Learn provides instrumental and vocal instruction for K-12 grade students during and after school hours. Students receive 10-20 weeks of instruction and showcase their artistic growth in a culminating Midori Matinee performance, guided by Midori & Friends Teaching Artists. Play to Learn follows the New York State Learning Standards for the Arts and Blueprint for Teaching & Learning in Music: to Create, Perform, Respond, and Connect.
OFFERINGS
Our Play to Learn program offers up to 30 weeks of hands-on music instruction, culminating in a student performance that showcases their creativity and growth. Students gain musical skills, they develop music literacy, make cultural connections, and strengthen social-emotional learning through the joy of music-making.

Students build essential performance skills, including rhythm, posture, and the ability to confidently perform complete pieces.
