On the morning of November 8th, Midori performed an education program on the theme of musical interpretation for P.S. 72 children, parents, and special guests. We were delighted to be joined by Agnus Grund, Chair of the Advisory Council of the Department of Cultural Affairs, who read a proclamation from Mayor Bloomberg declaring November 8th "Midori & Friends Day" in New York. Other special friends guests included Jenny Low (JP Morgan Chase Foundation), Alton Murray (Con Edison), Leslie Plotkin (West Side Children's Fund), Isao Tsujimoto (Japan Foundation), Barbara Murray (NYC Department of Education), and Elsie Encarnacion of Council Member Melissa Mark Viverito's office. Special thanks to Board Members Andy Herz, Heather Randall, and Nozomi Terao for their participation and to Fox and Bloomberg News for covering this exciting event.
