Professional Development
Professional Development for Teaching Artists, made possible in part by a generous grant from the Dana Foundation, is offered in a variety of formats, including one-on-one mentoring, peer-to-peer sharing, workshops led by guest presenters from the educational and artistic community, and individual observation and feedback. Professional Development topics include working with special needs children, working in small groups, child development, lesson placing and sequencing, integration of music into the core curriculum, classroom management, and other topics related to instrumental study.
